Earthquake jolts parts of Pakistan

On Monday, Karachi experienced a minor earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter Scale. Initial reports suggest no damage or casualties.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad recorded the quake's depth at 15 kilometers, and its epicenter was located near Quaidabad in Karachi.

Areas that felt the tremors included Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Cattle Colony, various parts of Malir District, Quaidabad, Shah Latif Town, Sherpao Colony, Landhi, Muzaffarabad Colony, Muslimabad Colony, Steel Town, and neighboring regions.

In a similar event last month, Swat and its surroundings were shaken by a 4.7 magnitude earthquake on the Richter Scale. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) confirmed tremors in Swat and nearby areas, with no reported damage.

The earthquake had a depth of 192 kilometers and its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush Region of Afghanistan.
