Arshad Sharif murder case investigation, New breakthrough development reported

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, during a meeting with Kenyan President Dr. William Ruto at the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, China, requested President Ruto's assistance in finalizing the investigation into the murder of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif.
The PM Office issued a statement regarding the meeting, highlighting the prime minister's plea for facilitation in concluding the report of the special joint investigation team (JIT) regarding Arshad Sharif's murder.
In addition to discussing the murder case, the two leaders engaged in talks about various aspects of bilateral cooperation. They both reiterated their commitment to strengthening relations between Pakistan and Kenya in the fields of trade, investment, education, and fostering people-to-people connections.
The leaders emphasized the significance of economic collaboration and pledged to increase their engagement to unlock the full potential of bilateral trade.
PM Kakar emphasized Pakistan's role as a member of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and expressed Pakistan's interest in deepening collaboration with other BRI member countries, including Kenya, to identify and develop new projects and initiatives.
He stressed that this commitment underscores Pakistan's dedication to advancing development and shared prosperity through increased cooperation and partnerships.
President Dr. William Ruto reciprocated these sentiments and conveyed Kenya's interest in benefiting from Pakistan's expertise in sectors such as agriculture and healthcare. This exchange underlines the shared commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation and mutual development.
