Coal mine explosion : kills 5, injures 4 in China

Five people died and four others were injured following a Gas explosion at a Coal Mine in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
The Coal Mine, had been shut down before the accident. The blast occurred when workers were sealing off the mouth of the pit.
The Blast blew out the windows of several nearby buildings and residential houses, leaving the ground covered with broken glasses and other debris.
One injured Worker said he was about only 12 meters away from the mouth of the pit when the explosion happened and he was wounded when a tractor shovel used at the mine was knocked over in front of him.
