Kashmir Council (EU) stands against Indian brutalities in IOK

BRUSSELS (APP): Expressing solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Council (European Union) has planned to highlight brutalities of Indian forces and draw attention of international community towards unending human rights violations in the valley.

US will consider HR violations in IOK to be included in state department annual report  

The Kashmir Council will organize a seminar in Brussels to brief political leaders and civil society and human rights organizations about ongoing atrocities including murder, torture, detention and injuring innocent youth with pellet guns among whom scores have also lost their eye sight.

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider and Senior Minister Tariq Farooq would also attend the seminar to awaken international conscience towards the plight of Kashmiri people who are stressing for their right to self-determination for the last seven decades.

Chairman of the Council Ali Raza informed APP that delegates from different EU countries shall also be participating in the three-day seminar starting from November 08, 2016, being organized to highlight Kashmir struggle against Indian yoke.

"The purpose of this seminar is to highlight brutalities of armed forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir and urge international community to buttress efforts for ensuring right to self-determination to Kashmiri people as promised to them in the United Nations resolutions," he said.

He informed the participants will read out papers and evolve future strategy for continued support to Kashmiri people and highlighting and their inalienable right to decide about their future.

One member of the EU Kashmir Council, Sardar Siddique is on visit to Pakistan these days where he is discussing this issue and the future strategy with people from different walks of life.
