Gold Prices in Pakistan register significant increase

On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant increase, aligning with the global upward trend. The precious metal surged to Rs216,500 per tola, reflecting a noteworthy single-day gain of Rs2,200.

The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the 10-gram gold bar was traded at Rs185,614, indicating an increase of Rs1,886.

This upward movement came on the heels of a previous day's decline, where gold prices in Pakistan had dropped by Rs500, settling at Rs214,300 per tola. According to APGJSA, the international gold rate experienced a $20 rise, reaching $2,006 per ounce on Friday. This increase led to a $20 premium.

In contrast, silver maintained stability during this period, with rates holding steady at Rs2,550 per tola.
