Former PM Imran Khan faces yet another blow

On Friday, an accountability court remanded Imran Khan in the £190 million case for four days.

The hearing, presided over by Judge Muhammad Bashir in Adiala Jail, saw the National Accountability Bureau seeking a 10-day remand, but the judge approved only a four-day remand, adjourning the case until November 21.

Additionally, Bushra Begum's bail in the case was extended until the same date. NAB's Special Prosecutor, Sardar Muzzafar Abbas, confirmed that Imran had been handed over to NAB until 2021, leaving the interrogation methods to the Bureau.

Imran is already in jail for the cipher case under the Official Secrets Act. Despite the IHC restoring his bail application in the Toshakhana case, he remains under arrest in the £190 million case, for which authorities recently obtained warrants during his incarceration.
