Despite being granted post-arrest bail, Khadija Shah faces yet another setback

The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore has issued a 30-day detention order for Khadija Shah based on the Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt and District Intelligence Branch recommendations.

The decision, rooted in her alleged involvement in violent activities on May 9, was made after a careful examination of the evidence against her. Concerns about potential threats to law and order led to the decision, with authorities highlighting the risk of disruptive activities.

In response, Khadija Shah's legal team plans to challenge the detention order in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

Despite being granted post-arrest bail in the fourth case related to the May 9 riots, concerns persist, given the cybercrime case against her for allegedly inciting people against the army during the May 9 violence.
