NEW DELHI: In India, severe cyclone storm 'Gaja' has wreaked large scale damage killing eleven people in Tamil Nadu state.
According to the Indian media, over eighty thousand people were evacuated from low lying areas and sheltered at over four hundred and seventy relief centers in six districts of the southern state. Torrential rains have caused water logging and threatened landslides in the region.
