Syrian govt gains control over central part of country

In Syria, army has announced that it has restored government control over more than 460 square miles in central part of the country.

The achievement will allow the government to secure the roads linking south, central and northern part of the country and restore direct transport between the country's main cities Damascus, Homs and Aleppo.

Meanwhile, two people have been killed and 19 others injured due to a shell fired in Damascus.
