Judiciary important state pillar: CJP

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar says judiciary being one of the important state pillars, is mandated to ensure fundamental rights of the people.
He was speaking at various functions in Russia.
The Chief Justice said the Supreme Court of Pakistan has recently taken suo motu jurisdiction and effective orders have been passed, especially for the downtrodden segment of the society. AFP
