In a first, Pakistan Television to be digitalised

ISLAMABAD - Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan says digitalization of Pakistan Television will be ensured to avoid incidents like interruption in Prime Minister Imran Khan's speech on 11th of this month.
Speaking during the meeting of National Assembly's Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting in Islamabad today, she said Prime Minister's speech was in HD video while PTV system was SD and due to mismatch of the technology the incident happened.
Firdous Ashiq also clarified that the message regarding broadcasting of the speech at 9.15 pm was also wrong.
She said it will be investigated that why PTV could not move to digital technology.
