MOSCOW: Russia has called for easing sanctions imposed on North Korea after Pyongyang agreed to denuclearization of Korean Peninsula.
UN Security Council imposed a series of economic sanctions against DPRK after it conducted its first nuclear test in 2006.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a news briefing in Moscow that easing sanctions could become a serious factor contributing to political and diplomatic settlement in northeast Asia.
