Hazrat Ali R.A Martyrdom day observed across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD– The Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Ali (RA) was observed with reverence across the country.
Mourning processions were taken out to mark the day throughout the country.
Stringent security arrangements were made on the occasion.
Pillion-riding was banned in Sindh, while Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial visited the routes of the procession.
Sindh IG AD Khawaja visited the main procession to review the security arrangements.
In Karachi, the main procession started from Nishtar Park and concluded at Hussainia Imambargah, Kharadar after passing through stipulated route. The procession was monitored through Command and Control Centre.
In Lahore, the central procession was taken out from Mubarik Haveli and concluded at Karbala Gamay Shah after passing through Mochi Gate, Masjid Wazir Khan and Kashmiri Bazar. At Rang Mahal, the mourners said their Zohrain prayers.
After the prayers, the procession reached Bhati Gate where the participants self-flagellated themselves.
Stringent security arrangements had been made on the occasion.
