Police claimed to have arrested at least 100 suspects including Afghans residing illegally during search operation here on Friday
Police spokesman said that the search operations were conducted in Faqirabad, Hayatabad, Tatara and Sarband areas where officials of lady police and sniffer dogs were also used to check around 200 houses.
Police said that some 16 Afghans living without valid documents were among 101 suspected elements arrested during the operation.
Police also recovered 16 pistols, a short gun and hundreds of cartridges from the possession of the suspects.
