RAWALPINDI: A case was registered against Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and 22 others for violating the fireworks ban during the election campaign.

At least 23 suspects including AML chief, his nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafique and others have been nominated in the First Information Report (FIR).

The FIR maintains that the accused displayed fireworks in NA-60 and NA-62 in Talwara Bazaar during campaign.

Similarly, five others including Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Mehar Kashif and Sheikh Kamran have also been booked in a similar violation case.
