Govt providing full security to all election candidates: Zafar

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Information Minister Syed Ali Zafar has said that the government is determined to ensure free, fair and transparent polls in the country.
Talking to PTV, he said that full security is being provided to all candidates.
He said terrorists are trying to sabotage election process but they will never succeed in their nefarious designs as the nation stands united.
The Minister said Election Commission of Pakistan is working independently and elections will be held as per schedule.
He said cooperation of political parties with ECP is very imperative to ensure peaceful campaign and peaceful election.
The Minister said the political parties should give prior information about their gatherings, rallies and processions to local administration so that necessary security arrangements can be made.
He said the government is providing full freedom of speech and expressions to media as per law.
