Pakistan Post, NBP sign MoU to boost Digital Financial Services

Pakistan Post and National Bank of Pakistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Islamabad on Friday to boost Digital Financial Services in the country through a huge network of 12,000 post offices country-wide.

Under the agreement, National Bank of Pakistan will install ATMs at major post offices across the country for quick transfer of home remittances, international remittances, and further improvement of disbursement of pension.

The MoU is also aimed at achieving the target of the State Bank of Pakistan for strengthening National Financial Inclusion Strategy by extending Digital Financial Services to fifty percent population of the country by 2020.

Minister for Postal Services Maulana Amir Zaman Bukhari and President National Bank of Pakistan Saeed Ahmed witnessed the signing ceremony.APP
