New Islamabad Airport to be expanded

ISLAMABAD: A decision was made for further expansion of the new Islamabad International Airport, which is being built on approximately 4000 acres of land in Fateh Jang area.

The demarcation of land nearby Fateh Jang Airport has begun under future planning and is likely to be completed in the coming days.

The future planning includes acquiring more land for the airport expansion process.

The stake-holders which would be participating in the demarcation process are Civil Aviation Authority, Revenue Department and Rawalpindi Development Authority.


The joint team would submit its report on how much area is required for proper expansion of the Airport.
