Hamid Nehal Ansari, Indian spy being released and repatriated to India: FO

ISLAMABAD - Indian national Hamid Nehal Ansari who was convicted in Pakistan on spying charges has completed his sentence in Pakistan and is being released.
As per media report, Pakistan released on Monday Indian spy Hamid Nehal Ansar, who was involved in anti-state crimes, after his three-year-long sentence completed.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal announced on Twitter that Ansari was released and is being repatriated to India.

In 2012, Ansari had illegally entered Pakistan after which he got involved in forging documents and anti-state crimes. In 2015, he was awarded three years of imprisonment by a military court. According to reports, Ansari had crossed the border to meet a girl he met online.
