Murad Saeed inaugurates Geographic Information System of NHA August 17, 2020

ISLAMABAD- Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed inaugurated Geographic Information System of National Highway in Islamabad today [Monday].
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, he said the project aims to bring transparency to the NHA and improve condition of roads.
Murad Saeed said feasibility report of Sialkot-Rawalpindi Motorway is being prepared and feasibility of Chakdara -Chitral Motorway will be completed during the current year. He said construction of Chaman-Karachi road will also start same year.
Referring to the government achievements, he said in July, there was a marked increase in the foreign exchange. He said Bus Rapid Transit project has been inaugurated in Peshawar and Coronavirus pandemic has largely been controlled.
He said positive indicators of the Stock Exchange, increase in foreign exchange reserves and other economic indicators suggest that Pakistan is on the right track.
He said development of backward areas is top priority of the government. He said we are also focusing to ensure transparency in the institutions.
He said agreement with IPPs will provide relief to people.
