Pakistan India DGMOs establish hotline contact

ISLAMABAD – The Director Generals of Military Operations of Pakistan and India during a hotline contact have expressed satisfaction over the situation along Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary since last communication in May this year.
According to ISPR, however, DGMO Pakistan expressed concern over Indian violations and deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, which has resulted into four martyrdom and 32 injuries since May 29, especially in broad daylight on 15th and 16th of this month in Leepa sector.
It was conveyed that such actions are extremely detrimental to peace on the Line of Control.
The DGMO Pakistan also expressed concern over unusual movements of weapons and forces along LoC and cautioned Indian DGMO against any provocation, which has the potential to vitiate the environment along LoC.
Indian DGMO assured that no such move has taken place. Indian allegation of infiltration and abetment of terrorism along the LoC were strongly rejected and Indian DGMO was informed that effective measures are in place and no such presence or movement has been observed by Pakistani forces.
The Pakistan DGMO expressed commitment to peace and indicated that if such aggressive actions continue same will be effectively responded which will have detrimental effects on peace and tranquility along the LoC.
