Naqeebullah’s father wants Rao Anwar’s bail to be cancelled

The father of Naqeebullah Mehsud, the youth killed in a fake encounter by Former Malir SSP Rao Anwar and his team, has challenged the bail granted to the former cop in an illegal weapons case.

This is the second case in which Anwar has been granted bail. Naqeebullah’s father submitted a petition to the Sindh High Court on Friday, challenging the bail granted to Anwar.

He has said that the anti-terrorism court has shown partiality to Anwar and other suspects in the case. The petition also said that granting Anwar, who is the prime suspect in the case, bail will negatively impact the case.

The court did not hear the plaintiff’s reply before granting Anwar bail, said the petition. Naqeebullah’s father asked the court to cancel the bail and have Anwar arrested so that a transparent investigation can be conducted.

The father’s lawyer, Faisal Siddiqui, requested the court to have Anwar arrested and sent to jail.
