Azadi Train : Schedule for August 17

FAISALABAD (APP): Azadi Train on Tuesday reached here at 10:00 pm and got a rousing reception at Faisalabad railway station.
A large number of people including Railway employees and officers - Khalid Mehmood Chaudhary, Chaudhary Shabbir Ahmad, Engineer Rehan Ahmad and SSP Pakistan Railways Makhdoom Qaiser Bashir received the train warmly.
They also pelted rose petals on the arrival of Azadi Train at Faisalabad railway station which was profusely decorated with buntings, national flags, banners and portraits of historic personalities and heroes of Independence Movement.
Talking to media persons, In-charge Azadi Train Khawaja Sajid Bashir said that Azadi train started journey from Islamabad and it would reach Karachi after roaming and staying at various cities and railway stations.
"The people have showed much excitedness, pleasure and happiness when the Azadi train stopped at any railway station," he said adding that the objective behind Azadi train was to create awareness about importance of Independence and promote a message of brotherhood, unity and tranquility among Pakistani nation.
He said that Azadi train would stay at Faisalabad Railway Station at night and it would leave for Gujrat via Chak Jhumra, Hafiz Abad and Wazir Abad at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Tight security arrangements were made by the Police department on the arrival of Azadi train at Faisalabad railway station.
