Illegal Alcohol Factory raided in Islamabad, huge quantity of wine and alcohol bottles seized

ISLAMABAD - A distillery was unearthed in capital s Police Foundation Colony, which led to the recovery of a huge quantity of liquor and wine including 442 wine bottles and 300 liter alcohol, police said.

On a tip off, DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Syed Mustafa Tanveer to conduct a raid and arrest those involved in bootlegging activities.

SP (Investigation) constituted a team under the supervision of DSP Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Hakim Khan including ASIs Sudher Abbassi, Ashfaq Memon and others.

This team conducted a raid at distillery at street No. 22 of Police Foundation Colony located near PWD Colony in Loi Bher police area.

Police team recovered 442 wine bottles, 24 liquor bottles, 300 liter alcohol in 10 cans, labels of different brands of alcohol, corks and other material used in the manufacturing process.

Police team also nabbed three bootleggers identified as Haroon Masih, Somi Masih and Tabrez Masih. Further raids are being conducted to arrest their other accomplices.
