Syrian govt shot down missiles over its two airbases

In Syria, the government's air defenses have shot down missiles over its two airbases early Tuesday.
Syrian state-run television says missiles targeted Shayrat air base in Homs province and another base northeast of the capital, Damascus.
Meanwhile, Russia says it will help secure visit of international chemical weapons inspectors to site of an alleged attack in Syria.
A top Russian chemical weapons protection expert, Igor Kirillov said experts from Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons are set to visit Douma tomorrow. APP/AFP
