In the case of the nomination of PTI Chairman in the May 9 incident, significant developments have come to light. According to Public News report, the JIT authorities have completed the scrutiny of charges to impose a severe penalty on Imran Khan after being declared guilty in the May 9 cases. The scrutiny of all charges was carried out in conjunction with prosecution. Deficiencies found in the charges have been rectified.
JIT authorities further mentioned that the case related to the attack on Jinnah House consists of a massive 2,000-page charge sheet. To prove the guilt of PTI Chairman, all evidence, including social media, has been carefully examined. The charges will be presented in court within two days.
JIT authorities had completed the investigation of the cases related to May 9, with Imran Khan being declared guilty in 10 nominated cases. The case against Imran Khan, 96/23, comprises a 2,000-page charge sheet. JIT authorities have stated that more than 400 pieces of evidence related to social media have been found against Imran Khan.
Imran Khan has been declared guilty based on statements and identification by arrested suspects. On the other hand, significant progress has been made in the Jinnah House attack case in anti-terrorism courts. Prosecution objected to the charge sheet in the Jinnah House attack case and sent it back, instructing to include other crucial evidence in the charges. Prosecution has instructed to include videos related to incitement to rebellion as part of the charges.
While prosecution has ordered the removal of objections for inspection officers and directed them to submit the charges. After the charges are presented in court, the trial of the cases will commence.
