CTD gunned down 3 key terrorists in deadly shootout

PESHAWAR: On Friday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) reported the killing of three terrorists in Peshawar, as per ARY News. Acting on a tip-off, the CTD conducted a raid in Peshawar's Faqeer Baba Ziarat area, which was close to the Khazana police station. During the operation, a well-organized group of outlawed Daish militants opened fire on the police team. In response, CTD officials retaliated to the gunfire, resulting in the deaths of three terrorists. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the deceased militants. The CTD spokesperson mentioned that five or six of the terrorists' accomplices managed to escape from the scene. In a separate incident near Wali Tangi area of Quetta, one soldier was martyred, and three terrorists were killed when a security forces post came under attack, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The terrorists launched an assault on a security forces post near Wali Tangi. During the exchange of fire, Subedar Qaiser Raheem displayed valor and sacrificed his life in the line of duty, while one soldier sustained serious injuries. The ISPR, in a statement, reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan's security forces to thwart the efforts of those seeking to disrupt peace and prosperity in the country. On September 10, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chitral district engaged in a gun battle with terrorists, resulting in the death of seven militants, as reported by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). During the intense exchange of fire, six other terrorists were critically injured. Efforts were ongoing to sanitize the area and eliminate any remaining terrorists.
