ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistani cricket team captains, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Malik vow to pick up Muhammad Waseem from the airport next time.
After the star boxer's stunning first-round knockout victory over Philippines' Conrado Tanamor in Dubai went unnoticed back home, Wasim Akram and Shoaib Malik took on Twitter to share their sentiments.
Wasim Akram after congratulating the boxer regretted the fact that few welcomed him at airport after his victorious return.
“Sometimes we as a country need to be “smacked on the face” with the fist of reality to wake us up and remind us how we should be treating our hero’s,” wrote Akram on Twitter adding that he would be at the airport next time to welcome him.
