Former Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman, Syed Shabbar Zaidi, utilized X, previously known as Twitter, to convey his insights on Pakistan's economic status. Through a tweet on his account, @SShabbarZaidi, he expressed hope about the country's economic future and anticipated a noteworthy shift in the exchange rate between the US Dollar (USD) and the Pakistani Rupee (Rs) by year-end.
Zaidi pointed out the gradual positive direction of the economy, emphasizing the decreasing value of the US Dollar in comparison to the Pakistani Rupee and the declining petrol prices.
However, he expressed disappointment that these favorable developments haven't been promptly recognized by the media and the public.
He implied that political influence over economic matters in Pakistan has significantly influenced public perceptions. In his post, Zaidi also offered a prediction, foreseeing the US Dollar trading at 250 Pakistani Rupees by the end of the year.
