All-rounder Imad Wasim has made a revealing statement about his intentions should he be appointed as the captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team. During an appearance on a private channel's show, Imad, who boasts 1,472 runs and 109 wickets for Pakistan, discussed his thoughts on Pakistan Cricket.
When asked if he would consider including pacer Mohammad Amir in the team and making him the frontman, Imad Wasim expressed that Amir would be the first individual he'd reach out to.
It's worth noting that a segment of Pakistan Cricket Team fans has been advocating for the inclusion of these two players in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 squad, based on their impressive performances in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League 2023.
In that tournament, Imad Wasim secured the third-highest run total with 313 runs from 11 matches, including two half-centuries, and also claimed 14 wickets as a left-arm spinner. Meanwhile, Mohammad Amir emerged as the third-highest wicket-taker with 16 scalps.
The Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Team, Inzamam-ul-Haq, previously stated that Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim would be considered for national team selection if they participated in first-class cricket.
