ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan grills federal minister Fawad Chaudhry over statement of 400 government departments closure.Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday took notice of the statement of Fawad Ch’s pertaining to the closure of 400 state-run departments.
As per details garnered, PM Khan instructed Minister for Science and Technology to refrain from issuing such statement that spread disappointment among masses.
“We must not issue statements that spread disappointment. I came to know about your statement during Saudi Arabia’s visit”, stated PM. To this, the outspoken minister replied that some media outlets have distorted his statement and it was quoted out of context.
On Oct 15, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday informed attendants that govt was planning to shut down 400 state-run organizations. As per details garnered, the minister was addressing second Deans International Conference of Engineering Institutions in Islamabad.
Fawad apprised attendants that is was not government’s duty to provide jobs to the public.
