PM adopted austerity measures to reduce expenditures: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the largest victorious political party in the by-elections as it had contested against all the opposition parties.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PTI government did not interfere in the by-elections, which were conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
He said the Election Commission of Pakistan did not allow members of National and provincial assemblies to take part in the by-election campaign.
Responding to a question, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan has adopted austerity measures to reduce expenditures and lessen burden on national kitty.
