Int’l symposium on 'Creating a Water Secure Pakistan' begins on Friday

A two-day international symposium on 'Creating a Water Secure Pakistan' begins in Islamabad on Friday.

It is being held under the aegis of Supreme Court of Pakistan.

President Arif Alvi will inaugurate the moot while the concluding session will be chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar.  

Jurists and experts in water resource management and researchers from different countries will present their research papers in the symposium.  

Themes pertaining to legal aspects of Indus Basin, construction and financing of Dams and Reservoirs and management of water resources will be discussed in the moot.
