Gov't releases Rs 7.5 bn for Hakla-D.I.Khan Motorway

ISLAMABAD: The government has released Rs 7.5 billion for the construction of Hakla on M-1 to Yarik D.I. Khan Motorway out of total allocation of Rs 38 billion under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2017-18.
According to latest data released by Planning Commission, the total cost of the project is Rs 110.208 billion.
The 285 kilometer long project is part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and is scheduled to be completed by end 2018.
Similarly, for construction of another CPEC project Thakot to Havelian Road, the government has released Rs 100 million out of total allocation of Rs 500 million for the year 2017-18.
Total cost of the 118 kilometer long road is estimated at Rs 136.6 billion.
