Tarbela Dam 4th extension power generation project status

HARIPUR, Nov 16 (APP): Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. (R) Muzammal Hussain on Wednesday visited the Tarbaila Dam of fourth extension power generation project 1,410 Mega Watt.
During the visit General Manager Tarbaila Dam Iqbal Masood Saddique briefed the Chairman while the Lt. Gen. (R) Muzammal Hussain directed all concerned and construction company to complete the work with in time.
On the occasion chairman said that Wapda is using all of its sources for the timely completion of Tarbaila Dam 1,410 Mega Watt fourth extension power generation project.
Three power generation units are ready to install in tunnel number of Tarbaila Dam 1,410 Mega Watt fourth extension power generation project.
Each of the unit is capable of producing 470 MW power.
After completion power generation capacity of the Tarbaila dam to be increased from 3,478 Mega-Watt to 4,888 MW, he added.
