CTD Punjab arrests four facilitators of Charing Cross blast

LAHORE: (APP) A team of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday arrested four facilitators of Charing Cross, Mall Road suicide blast.

According to CTD Punjab spokesman, the CTD team, on the pointation of Anwaar-ul-Haq, the main suspect of suicide blast at Charing Cross Lahore, conducted a raid at a plaza near Darbar Shah Muhammad Ghaus, Circular road here and arrested his four accomplices / facilitators who had assisted Anwaar-ul-Haq in the suicide blast in which 15 people including senior police officers were martyred while 110 others injured.

The arrested suspects are - Irfan Khan, Atta-ur-Rehman, Abdullah and Imran - belonging to Mohmand Agency and Bajaur.

The terrorists have been shifted to unknown place for interrogation.

The CTD team also recovered a sizable amount of hand grenades, explosives, electric detonator, circuits used for making suicide jackets from their custody.

Further investigation is underway.
