This is how rain can prove to be blessing for Pakistan in match against India

LONDON - There are no reserve days for league matches, which means if a match cannot be played both teams would get a point each. Pakistan are currently in ninth spot in the World Cup points table.

If the match is rained out, the team will be awarded one point which will take their tally to four. India will also get one point which would take their tally to six.

With four points, Pakistan will jump to the sixth spot on the points table and will be behind Sri Lanka due to a lower net run rate (NRR).

India with six points would remain in the fourth spot, behind England due to a lower NRR.
