Pakistan terms Fazlullah's killing significant development

ISLAMABAD: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has made a telephone call to Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk and confirmed the death of Mullah Fazlullah of Tehrik -e-Taliban Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nasir ul Mulk thanked the President for this information and termed it as a significant development in the fight against terrorism.
He said finally action has been taken against an enemy of the people and state of Pakistan. He said that this news would be received throughout Pakistan with relief, as Pakistani had borne the brunt of TTP's terrorist's actions.
President Ghani also informed the PM about positive developments following the recent ceasefire announcement which would help pave the way for the Afghan peace process to consolidate.
The Prime Minister assured him of support to facilitate Afghan peace efforts that would remain Afghan-owned and Afghan-led
The two leaders exchanged Eid greeting and best wishes for the people of two countries.
Afghan president also speaks on phone with COAS
Afghan president Ashraf Ghani spoke on phone with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and shared news about killing of Mullah Fazal Ullah in a drone strike in Afghanistan Province Kunar.
According to ISPR, Mullah Fazal Ullah was hiding inside Afghanistan since 2009.
He said that killing of TTP commander is a positive development and it gives relief to scores of Pakistani families who fell victims to TTP terror including the APS massacre.
He said that Pakistan military leadership has always maintained that a cooperative and coordinated approach is the best response to the menace of terrorism.
