District and Session Judge charged for taking Rs 50 Lakh bribe in Axact case
ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions judge confessed to taking bribe amounting to Rs 5,000,000 in the Axact fake degree case and acquitting Shoaib Sheikh in return, according to a show-cause notice issued, private TV Channel has reported.

As per the show-cause notice, judge Pervaiz-ul-Qadir Memon of the District and Sessions Court admitted to taking a bribe of Rs. 5,000,000 from Axact CEO Shoaib Sheikh and acquitting him in return. This allegedly took place in the Axact fake degree case.

The show-cause notice further mentioned that Pervaiz-ul-Qadir admitted to taking the bribe in front of the Promotion Committee. However, Pervaiz-ul-Qadir has now denied the allegations and challenged the show-cause notice in the Islamabad High Court.

Hearing of the case will be conducted tomorrow at the Islamabad High Court. Proceedings will be heard by Justice Aamir Farooq.
