Sharif family’s lawyers to appeal Avenfield verdict today

ISLAMABAD: The Sharif family’s lawyers will appeal the accountability court’s verdict in the Avenfield case today.
The accountability court awarded 10 years to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, eight years to his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and one year to his son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar. All three are currently in jail.
Their lawyers will file appeals against the decision with the Islamabad High Court on Monday. They have already obtained the signatures of their clients. APP
