ISLAMABAD - Pakistan beats India to become World Kabbadi Champion.
Pakistan became the Kabbadi World Cup champion after beating India by 43 to 41 points in a nail-biting final match.
A large number of spectators had gathered at Punjab Stadium in Lahore to witness the final between the arch-rival teams.
From the Pakistan’s side, Captain Irfan Mana, Shafiq Chishti, Waqas Butt, Malik Banyamin, Sajjad Gujjar and Qamar Butt performed splendidly.
“This victory is not just of the players or the team but of the whole country. The victory attained after defeating India has a different meaning,” Pakistan Kabaddi team skipper Irfan Mana said.
“After tough competitions in the tournament, we were certain to face a tough competition from the Indian team in the final.
We are thankful that the Almighty bestowed us with the success at the home ground. Every player made an equal contribution to the victory,” he added.
