WASHINGTON: US rejects Indian stance over F-16 fighter jets sale to Pakistan.

US Defence Security Cooperation Agency announced that sale of 8 F-16 fighter jets and equipments to Pakistan is in America’s national interest.

The ministry certified the sale to congress which is opposing the sale.

Ministry denounced India’s claim and objections that sale will alter military balance in the region.

Pakistan was willing to buy 8 F-16 fighter jets built by Lockhead Martin Corp. worth $699 million.

The fighter will improve Pakistan’s capability against militants in all  weather conditions.

Last week, India summoned US envoy in New Delhi and recorded it's agitation that US decision disappointed India.
