Former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani in hot waters

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani will be in hot water in the coming days, as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated an inquiry against him on appointment of MD Saindak Metal Ltd in violation of rules and misuse of authority.

The bureau has decided to summon Gilani for initial investigation next week. Inquiry will also be initiated against the committee that recommended the appointment.
Gilani non-bailable arrest warrant issued by court
According to sources, Raziq Sanjrani was appointed as MD by a committee in violation of executive services rules of the company and the composition of the said committee, which was competent under the Executive Services Rules of Saindak Metal Ltd, included the minister in charge as the committee chairman while the members comprised secretary and joint secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources. The prime minister was the approving authority.
