US Counsel General calls on Chief Justice LHC

LAHORE: (APP) Acting US Consul General Debora Robinson called on Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah here on Tuesday.
Justice Erum Sajjad Gull and Director General Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) Uzma Akhtar Chughtai were also present on the occasion, besides American Consul's Political Chief Robert Newsome.
The meeting discussed training of judicial officers abroad, availability of foreign experts for training purposes at the PJA and steps for the upgradation of training courses to international standards.
The acting consul general appreciated steps by the LHC chief justice for provision of speedy justice and assured full support in this regard.
The LHC CJ apprised the delegation that the LHC Case Management System would start functioning next month. He said that timely justice was their first priority and district judiciary was being activated for the purpose.
Meanwhile, five judicial officers were being sent for case management training to Prague and Czech Republic with the cooperation of American Consulate.
