Mothers-Milk: Breastfeeding babies is the best nutrition in the world

KHANEWAL: (APP) Coordinator on Health of Mother and Child Programme, Dr Muhammad Hassan Paracha stressed the need for breastfeeding to save the infants from diseases and keep them healthy.
Addressing a press conference in DCO office here on Monday, breastfeeding was one of the best nutrition for proper upbringing of a child.
He urged mothers to feed their infants for period of two years, adding that mothers should not offer water even first six months to infant.
Mother's milk helps kids to gather immense resistance and children remain safe and secure from many abdominal and chest complications.
He informed that Mother and Child week was being observed from August 15 to 20 with an objective to create awareness among mothers.
A series of seminars would be arranged to provide important information to families and literature would also be distributed in the district, Dr Paracha added.
