Indian government faces embarrassing blow from UK External Affairs Department over its request

The British government has rejected the request of the Indian government not to grant political asylum to the Sikhs.
After the Sikh protesters in London took down the flag from the Indian High Commission, the Indian government demanded that the separatist Sikhs not be granted political asylum in the UK, which was rejected by the UK's External Affairs Department.
The UK External Affairs Department said to Modi Sarkar in India that anyone who meets the political asylum law will be given asylum in the country.
On Punjab's cultural day--Happy Baisakhi, Sikh leaders reached the British Parliament and chanted slogans against the Modi Sarkar and in favour of a separate country from India--Khalistan.
