ISLAMABAD – Nepal’s Army Chief landed in Pakistan on an official tour. Histour to Pakistan has raised eye brows in India. India has been sceptical ofrising Pakistan, Nepal and China ties.
During his Pakistan tour he met with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inIslamabad.
He said Pakistan has always endeavored to maintain friendly relations withall regional countries and peace in the region. He was talking to NepaleseChief of Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister expressed the hope that relations between Pakistan andNepal, including cooperation in defence sector, will be furtherstrengthened.
He said Pakistan has rendered huge sacrifices in the war against terrorismboth in economic terms and loss of precious lives.
The Nepalese Army Chief conveyed warm greetings of the Prime Minister ofNepal Khagda Parsad Oli to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
He also appreciated the high level of professionalism of Pakistan militaryand acknowledged their sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
