Former PM Nawaz Sharif gets a shock before arriving in Pakistan

Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader and former Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, intends to return to Pakistan on October 21. However, since he was convicted and left the country before completing his sentence, he is most likely to be arrested upon his return and presented before the courts.
His political party, Muslim League (N), is confident that he won't be arrested, as they expect his protective bail to be granted before his return. Afterward, he is likely to participate in political rallies in Pakistan and then appear before the courts.
Nevertheless, legal expert Abu Zar Salman Niazi believes that an old Supreme Court decision could be a reason for his immediate arrest upon return.
This decision suggests that a convicted person must be in custody before their appeal can be heard in court; they cannot avoid arrest and obtain relief from the courts without first being in custody.
Following the Supreme Court judgment there is strong chance that caretaker government will arrest him and then present him before the court which would further decide his fate.
