Former first lady Bushra Bibi's interim bail in the Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust cases has been extended by the accountability court of Islamabad until November 17.
The judge, Muhammad Bashir, raised concerns about the absence of Bushra Bibi's counsel, leading to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor expressing unawareness of the counsel's reasons for not attending.
The court, due to the absence of the defendant's counsel, adjourned the hearing until Friday, maintaining Bushra Bibi's interim bail extension until November 17.
Notably, the Islamabad High Court's registrar office had previously raised objections to Bushra Bibi's application seeking protection against arrest or summons in any case.
