After Inzamam's resignation, PCB appoints new Chief Selector

In a recent development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has designated Mohammad Hafeez, the former cricketer, as the new director of cricket, succeeding Mickey Arthur.

This change comes shortly after the national team's exit from the 2023 World Cup. The PCB also announced a reorganization of the coaching staff, stating that all coaches will remain at the National Cricket Academy, with new appointments for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand to be revealed later.

Additionally, former pacer Wahab Riaz is now the chief selector, filling the vacancy left by Inzamam-ul-Haq's resignation due to conflict of interest allegations. Sohail Tanveer has been appointed as the head of the junior selection team.
